South Dakota FFA To Award Scholarships

BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota FFA is dedicated to premier leadership, personal growth, and career success and is therefore proud to support South Dakota FFA members in their post-secondary education. The following scholarships will be awarded at the 91st South Dakota FFA State Convention as part of the South Dakota FFA Foundation’s collegiate scholarship program.

Bayer Scholarships As a Four Star Team Ag Ed Partner with the South Dakota FFA Foundation, Bayer sponsors a$500 scholarship.

Hitchcock-Tulare Degree Recipients

Ty Hofer and Grant Hamilton received their State FFA degrees. This is the highest degree a FFA member can earn on the state level.

Hitchcock-Tulare FFA are the State FFA Meats Champions

The Hitchcock-Tulare FFA meats team placed 1st out of 31 teams and qualified for the national convention. The national convention will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana October 30, 2019 .

The Hitchcock-Tulare FFA agronomy team placed 4th

AG Mechanics

The Ag Mechanics team placed 32nd and consisted of Dawson Gahm, 52nd-silver , Kodee Anderson, Logan Gilbert, and Wyatt Brooker



The floriculture team placed 28th and the team consisted of Jennifer Hughes, 55th-silver Ashley Godfrey, and Emma Shult




Milk Quality

The milk quality team placed 27th and the team consisted of Silas Harford, Kordel Kohnen, Caden Miller, and Jack Boomsma



The poultry team placed 11th and consisted of Raymond Cole, Zach Gilbert, Elliot Harford, and Briar Kloss



Honorary State Degree

Jeff Gottman, manager of ADM at Hitchcock, received the Honorary State FFA degree at the state FFA convention. This award was presented for his years of service to the FFA
