  • This is the H-T School with an announcement concerning make-up days. Currently we have missed 7 snow days of which 5 of them need to be made up. We have currently made up 2 of those days and have 3 left to make up. Those make-up days will be on Friday, March 22nd, Friday, March 29th, and Friday, April 5th. If we happen to miss more snow days we will determine how those days will be handled at a later time. Thank you and have a great day.

  • This past week was School Board Recognition Week across the state of South Dakota and due to the fact that our final home basketball game was cancelled we missed the opportunity to recognize and thank our local school board members for their service. I would like to take a moment to thank our five board members - Randy Cole, Tom Tomsha, Steve Masat, Jeff Boomsma, and Jeremy Bottum - for their dedication and service to our school district. This group is a great group to work with and they always have what is best for students at the heart of everything they do. Please join me in thanking them for their service to our school district and communities.

Welcome Message

  • It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Hitchcock-Tulare School District where we strive daily to provide opportunities for students to achieve success in academics, organizations, citizenship, athletics, fine arts, as well as many other areas. Our highly qualified teachers, staff, and administration work with students and parents to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their highest potentials in an environment that is caring, supportive, and safe.

Credit must certainly be given to our School Board who has worked to become visionary leaders and are continually focused on making student-centered decisions. It has been my pleasure to work with these five individuals and feel that through good strategic planning we will continue to make improvements to our school system that will effectively impact student achievement and help us empower students to enter the world as productive citizens.

I am privileged and honored to serve as the Superintendent of the Hitchcock-Tulare School District. Few things provide as much professional enjoyment as I get from seeing the successes of our staff and students on a daily basis. We are fortunate to have schools in communities that place a high value on education and are willing to support our schools, staff, and students. We believe that through your shared support and commitment, we can challenge our students to be prepared for the ever-changing 21st Century. We look forward to working with you to achieve this goal.

    Jeff Clark, Superintendent
