Hitchcock-Tulare School District

District 56-6

To empower students to enter the world as productive citizens.

  • At this point, we have missed 11 snow days. The first 2 days missed do not need to be made up and we have currently made up 5 days already. That leaves us with 4 days remaining and at last week’s board meeting the Board of Education decided on how to handle those days. The first 2 days are being forgiven as we have plenty of hours in to meet state requirements and the last 2 days will need to be made up. The make-up days are scheduled for Friday, May 3rd and Friday, May 10th. These days will follow a different schedule than usually so please see the schedule for those two days below.

Schedule for Friday, May 3rd and Friday, May 10th:
    • Normal school with an early release at 12:00 PM (Noon) – all bus routes will run at this time.
    • Classroom Enhancement from 12:00-3:30
o 12:00-2:00 – Time for students to get help if needed
o 2:00-3:30 – Teacher meetings and work time.

Prom has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 18th which means we will have an early release that day for everyone as well. School will dismiss on Thursday, April 18th at Noon and all bus routes will run at that time. If you have questions concerning any of this information please contact the school. Thank you.

Welcome Message

  • It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Hitchcock-Tulare School District where we strive daily to provide opportunities for students to achieve success in academics, organizations, citizenship, athletics, fine arts, as well as many other areas. Our highly qualified teachers, staff, and administration work with students and parents to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their highest potentials in an environment that is caring, supportive, and safe.

Credit must certainly be given to our School Board who has worked to become visionary leaders and are continually focused on making student-centered decisions. It has been my pleasure to work with these five individuals and feel that through good strategic planning we will continue to make improvements to our school system that will effectively impact student achievement and help us empower students to enter the world as productive citizens.

I am privileged and honored to serve as the Superintendent of the Hitchcock-Tulare School District. Few things provide as much professional enjoyment as I get from seeing the successes of our staff and students on a daily basis. We are fortunate to have schools in communities that place a high value on education and are willing to support our schools, staff, and students. We believe that through your shared support and commitment, we can challenge our students to be prepared for the ever-changing 21st Century. We look forward to working with you to achieve this goal.

    Jeff Clark, Superintendent
