HT Track and Field

Patriots Track and Field team is up to 30 boys and 28 girls 6th through 12th grade. Our first track meet was Friday April 11 in Ipswich. There are lots of activities competing for their time, with State Art and others' schools proms going on we were able to bring 19 Varsity athletes to the meet. Both our boys and girls teams finished 8th out of 13 teams. Great job Patriots!

Starting with our girls:

Our Senior leader, Emma Schneider earned a first place finish in Long Jump with a jump of 15'7.5" and a 5th place finish in Triple Jump 32'4.5". She was in two relays that finished 4th and 6th.

4th - 4x100 - 55.13 - Emma Schneider, Keilee Schone, Laina Puffer, Emmerie Arthurs

6th - 4x200 - 2:02:37 - Emma Schneider, Kaylie LaBrie, Laina Puffer, Emmerie Arthurs

7th - Medley - 5:03.38 - Laina Puffer, Lila Johnson, Kaylie LaBrie, RaeAnna Knock.

Reganne Miles earned a PR - personal record in the shot put.

Emmerie Arthurs was in the two relays mentioned earlier. She finished 3rd in the 200M with a time of 29.32 and a 4th place finish with a time of 13.32.

Keilee Schone earned a 2nd place finish in Javelin with a throw of 92'2".

Laina Puffer earned 8th place in the Javelin with a throw of 77'3".

RaeAnna Knock - got 3rd place in the 400m with a time of 1:08:07.

Our boys:

Our Senior leader, Payton Chasing Hawk ran the 100M with a time of 11.90 and got 8th place, he also ran the 200M with a time of 25.16 and got 5th place, he ran the 300M hurdles with a time of 43.15 and got 2nd place, in Long Jump he jumped 18'5" and got 8th place.

Logan LaBrie ran the 100M with a time of 11.50 and got 2nd place, he ran the 200M with a time of 24.23 and got 2nd place, he ran the 400M with a time of 54.99 and got 2nd place, he was in Long Jump and he jumped 18"10.25" and got 6th place.

Max Gilbert ran the 800M with a time of 2:29.47 and got 7th place.

Dalton Rathjen threw Shot Put with a distance of 40'7.25" and got 5th place, he threw Discus with a distance of 120'5" and got 4th place.

Neil Salmen threw the Javelin with a distance of 118'1" and got 6th place.

We have our first Junior High meet on Monday April 14th in Wessington Springs and have two other varsity meets on Tuesday in Volga, and Thursday in DeSmet. Let's Go Patriots!
