The Patriots Track and Field team just finished up a big week of track and field. Our middle school team had their first meet in Ipswich last Monday. Last Tuesday the varsity team went to Sully Buttes in Onida and Thursday our field event team ended up in Warner for a varsity field event only track meet. We all are competing very well in our events and many are continuing to make PR's and/or set PR's with quality tries. Great job Patriots!
The Patriots middle school teams are doing well for their first competition. The girls team did a great job ending up third out of 13 teams and our boys ended up ninth out of 13 teams.
Harper Fliehe earned fifth place in the 100M dash.
In the 400M dash Paige McNeely earned fifth place and Peyton Knox earned ninth place. Jaxson Felderman earned a ninth place finish as well.
Adelynne Ihnen earned a second place finish in the 800M and a fifth place finish in the 1600M runs.
100M Hurdles for the girls was Kaylie LaBrie with a fourth place finish and Keileigh Purcell with a seventh place finish.
4x100M Relay for the boys earned an eighth place finish (Chris Cardenas, Tayber Hansen, Jacob Hofer, Hudson Hansen) Our girls earned a third place finish (RaeAnna Knock, Mya Ross, Peyton Knox, Harper Fliehe)
4x200M Relay for the boys earned a sixth place finish (Breckan Estey, Hudson Hansen, David Bixler, Gentry Puffer) Our girls earned a fourth place finish (Kaylie LaBrie, RaeAnna Knock, Mya Ross, Paige McNeely)
Medley Relay for the girls earned ninth place (Jaylee Gilbert, Keileigh Purcell, Raya Cole, Darryn Hoekman) Our boys earned eighth place (David Bixler, Sam Knox, Carson VanBuskirk, Xzander Logan)
Shot Put for our boys was Hudson Hansen with fourth place and Carson Miles with eighth place.
Discus for the boys was Tayber Hansen with eighth place.
High Jump Gentry Puffer for the boys and Kaylie LaBrie for the girls earned fourth place finishes.
Pole Vault Peyton Knox for the girls earned second place and David Bixler for the boys earned a fourth place finish.
Long Jump Gentry Puffer earned a tenth place finish.
Triple Jump Breckan Estey earned a fourth place finish for the boys. For our girls was RaeAnna Knock earning a third place finish and Adelynne Ihnen earned a 7th place finish.
Even those not mentioned did a great job in their events, but these were in the top ten of their events.
The Patriots varsity teams in Sully Buttes did very well. Our girls finished fifth place out of 16 teams and our boys finished tenth place out of 18 teams.
100M dash Logan LaBrie earned second place with a PR (11.47) and Payton Chasing Hawk earned eighth place. Emmerie Arthurs earned a seventh place finish.
400M dash Isabel Gilbert earned a sixth place finish.
110M Hurdles Matthew Salmen earned an eighth place finish.
4x100M Relay for our boys earned a seventh place finish (Logan LaBrie, Payton Chasing Hawk, Max Gilbert, Matthew Salmen) Our girls ended with a fifth place finish (Emma Schneider, Keilee Schone, Cambree Hoekman, Emmerie Arthurs)
Medley Relay for our boys earned a fifth place finish (Payton Chasing Hawk, Matthew Salmen, Logan LaBrie, Max Gilbert) our girls earned an eighth place finish (Cambree Hoekman, Lila Jo Johnson, Emmerie Arthurs, Isabel Gilbert)
Reganne Miles earned fourth place finish in the shot put and a PR. Dalton Rathjen got ninth place.
Dalton Rathjen earned a seventh place finish in discus.
Katelyn Schroeder earned a second place finish and Keilee Schone earned a fourth place finish in Javelin. Neil Salmen earned a sixth place finish in javelin.
Emmerie Arthurs earned a third place finish in high jump.
Peyton Knox earned a fourth place finish in pole vault and a Hitchcock-Tulare school record.
In long jump Emma Schneider earned a first place finish and a school record for Hitchcock-Tulare, Logan LaBrie finish third and Payton Chasing Hawk finished eighth.
In triple jump Emma Schneider earned a first place finish.

In Warner for field events only meet our Patriots teams ended second for the girls and third for the boys out of eleven teams and many of our athletes had PR's even if they didn't make top ten.
Rebecca Huizenga earned first place and a school record in the shot put with a throw of 35'9". Dalton Rathjen earned a ninth place finish.
Dalton Rathjen earned a sixth place finish in discus.
Patrick Maynard earned a second place finish in the javelin and a Hitchcock-Tulare school record throw for his first time out this season. Neil Salmen earned a third place finish. Four of our girls ended in the top ten for javelin: Lila Jo Johnson got third, Ella Johnson got fourth, Keilee Schone got seventh, and Rebecca Huizenga got tenth.
Emmerie Arthurs got second and Patrick Maynard got seventh in the high jump.
Peyton Knox beat her own school record by eight inches with a PR in pole vault and Tristan Nowell was able to get a mark in pole vault earning an eighth place finish.
Logan LaBrie and Emma Schneider earned first place finishes in the long jump.
Logan LaBrie earned a third place finish with a PR in triple jump and Emma Schneider ended up fourth.
Our Patriots are working hard and doing very well. Coach Knox is a tremendous help to me and our athletes. I appreciate Mr. Leibel's assistance with helping our throwers; I know they appreciate it. We congratulate Coach Schlagel and family on the new addition and hope they all are doing well. We have a middle school meet on Monday April 28 at 2PM in Redfield and also at the same time we have Pole Vault and Javelin in Warner for the varsity meet which is in Groton on Tuesday at 11AM.
