The Patriots set the tone early, building comfortable leads in each of the first two sets. Redfield made a late run in the third set, but Hitchcock-Tulare responded with several key plays to secure the set and complete the sweep.
Laina Puffer led the Patriots’ attack with nine kills, while Emmerie Arthurs added eight. Olivia Knox directed the offense and finished the match with 23 set assists.
Hitchcock-Tulare also had a strong night from the serving line, recording 13 aces as a team. Puffer led the way with six aces. Arthurs, Paige McNeely and Knox contributed two aces apiece.
Defensively, Kaylie LaBrie paced the Patriots with 12 digs. Keilee Schone, Arthurs and McNeely each collected seven digs, while Puffer added six.
At the net, Tess Bixler recorded two block assists. Rylee Knock and Knox each added one block assist.
It was a successful night throughout the Hitchcock-Tulare volleyball program, as the seventh-grade, eighth-grade, and junior varsity teams all earned victories earlier in the evening.
The Patriots will play their first road match of the season Tuesday night when they travel to Faulkton to face the Trojans. The C-team match is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by the junior varsity and varsity matches.
