ATHLETIC PHYSICALS: All students wanting to participate in athletics need a physical every 3 years. Students going into 7th grade (current 6th graders) and students going into 10th grade (current 9th graders) need physicals. The Redfield Clinic is offering physicals for HT students who need them free of charge. We will be busing students in 6th grade and 9th grade to Redfield next Wednesday, April 26th to get their physicals completed. If you choose to have your student get a physical at a different time, you will be responsible for the cost of the physical. Forms that need to be returned FOR ALL STUDENTS have been sent home with students today. All students still need a number of forms filled out and signed to participate in sports. Students in grades 7, 8, 10, & 11 need their forms returned by May 12th. Students in grades 6 & 9 need their forms returned by April 25th. If you have questions please contact Mr. Clark. Thank you.

UPDATE ON MUSIC COLLABORATION: The efforts to secure a collaborative music program were unsuccessful. Originally, five school districts, including Doland, Wolsey-Wessington, Hitchcock-Tulare, Iroquois, and Huron, agreed to collaborate to offer 9-12 band at the Huron Community Campus. The five Districts agreed verbally and planned to sign a memorandum of understanding. Doland had a teacher from the community step forward to teach Art, so they decided to step away from the musical collaboration. The Iroquois School District also changed course with plans to fill the position locally. The result of the two schools withdrawing left Hitchcock-Tulare and Wolsey-Wessington with a shared cost that was no longer feasible to accept. The idea, collaboration, and effort to offer music were noble. However, the program will not be able to move forward at this time.
