"This year marked the very first year of our STEM program — Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math — and the elementary students explored all of it through hands-on learning, creativity, teamwork, and discovery. From scavenger hunts and science experiments to learning about plants, exploring the differences between salt and sugar under a microscope, building kindness chains, creating chain reactions, and so much more, this video captures just a small glimpse of everything they learned and experienced this year.
Take a look at this video highlighting smiling faces and the FUN experiences students enjoyed with Mrs. Hooks throughout the year! Who knew learning could be this much fun?!”

The 4th graders enjoyed their time at the Hitchcock Museum today. We always appreciate getting to visit each year! 😊

Cue the confetti… they’re kindergarten ready ✨🎉
So grateful for a year full of learning, laughter, and little friendships that grew so big. 💕

More pictures from Spink County Track and Field Day!

The 6th graders had an opportunity to compete at the Spink County Track and Field Days! Everyone did a great job and had a lot of fun!

If you can not make it to baccalaureate, go to https://www.facebook.com/HitchcockUMC.
Congratulations to our last group of award winners for the school year! Tucker, Rylee, Kenli, and Mrs. Miller!

Because of Winn-Dixie party! 🐶🎉
Third grade celebrated the completion of their novel with a party just like the characters had in the book while watching the movie. It wouldn't be a party without peanut butter or egg salad sandwiches, pickles, Littmus Lozenges, and "Dump" punch.

Hitchcock-Tulare FFA recently returned from our trip to the National Land and Range Contest in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We were represented by a land team and a range team, both in the FFA division. The land team consisted of Brecken E., RaeAnna K., Tucker G., and Sawyer M. Our range team was made up of Preston W., Tucker B., Braxton J., and Rylee K.
We spent much of our time learning about the soils and plants of Oklahoma. When not working on our skills, we went on tours of significant sites such as the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial Museum and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
Our FFA Chapter and South Dakota as a whole had a very successful year in Oklahoma, with many students being recognized. We would like to give a huge thank you to Mr. Howe for working with and coaching our land team, as well as the other South Dakota teams. We all learned a lot from him. On the range side, Mr. Duxbury of Wessington Springs FFA, Tyler Swan, Dr. Sandy Smart of SDSU, and Kaylee Wheeler of SDSU Extension coached our range kids. The trip was an amazing educational experience, and we are very thankful for everything everyone did for us. Our members lived the FFA motto last week by "Learning to do" and "Doing to Learn".
Results
FFA Land - 46th (102 Teams/398 Individuals)
Breckan - 50th
FFA Range - 13th (32 Teams/123 Individuals)
Preston - 34th
Braxton - 46th
Rylee - 49th

Dakota State University is excited to once again offer Cyber Camps for middle and high school students this summer. These summer camps introduce students to cybersecurity, programming, and digital safety through hands-on, engaging activities led by DSU faculty and students. No prior experience is required, only curiosity and interest in technology.

Happy Cinco de Mayo from the kindergarten class.! Thank you Grandma (Toco) Salter and Taco John's for feeding us a yummy lunch. We enjoyed the rest of the day playing games and having a fiesta. Now it's time for a siesta! 💙🌮🎉❤️
